The Annual Lady Flavelle Award
The Lady Flavelle award was instituted in 1983 to honour the memory of the founder of Kingcrafts Studio, Lady Muriel Flavelle. Lady Flavelle was a passionate promoter of the arts and a pioneer in establishing a dedicated place in King City for artists to develop their artistic skills and share a space to encourage mutual support and education.
The annual award is given to graduating student(s) from King City Secondary School who meet the specific criteria developed by the Art teacher(s) at KCSS. The selection process is conducted by the Art teacher(s) and the award is presented at the graduation ceremony.
